PROJECT INFO
NAME: Maid in Lebanon II: Voices from home
“Maid in Lebanon II: Voices from Home” explores the complexity of the relationship between migrant domestic workers and the members of the Lebanese households who employ them, in an objective, and at times humorous and poignant manner. This is a documentary that chronicles the life of female migrant domestic workers within Lebanese society: their joys, pains, expectations and deception, and their humanity.
“Maid in Lebanon II” asks tough questions and suggests answers on workers’ rights, employment contracts, and everyday terms and conditions of work. It emphasizes the importance of improving cross-cultural understanding and encouraging new patterns of work relationships.
