PROJECT INFO
NAME: Invisible Children & 100% Asphalt – أطفال غير مرئيّون & 100% أسفلت
“Invisible Children“, is a film on child labor in Lebanon, providing a sensitive look into the tragic and triumphant lives of working children through personal interviews with the children themselves.
The youth take you on an emotional journey through their work, family lives, and communities. Abir, 9-years old, wakes up every morning in a Palestinian refugee camp and goes to look through mounds of rubbish for plastic bottles and cans to recycle. Moussa, 10-years old, works as an assistant to a car mechanic to support his father’s drinking habit. Mariam, Elie, Adel, Samer and many more…
This film chronicles their stories, their work, their failures, and successes. “100% Asphalt” Is the story of a street telling its own story. A street that shelters more than 200 million children with only asphalt, noise, and rags as their home. 200 million children in “100% asphalt”. A film from the heart, in the heart of life, shot on the streets in the heart of the city; a film that narrates the unspeakable. 26 minutes of testimonies of abandoned children , left to their misery, violence, and drugs.
